Massages

We all want to feel less stress, to feel more present and to have more confidence as we move through this world.

Breathing moves our energy, so we can access the level of clarity that helps us connect to our spirit, to others and accelerate our life.

AyurYoga Massage is a powerful modality that combines the extensive knowledge of Ayurveda and Yoga.  AyurYoga Massage recognises that everyone is unique; and thus treatment depends on the individual’s physical and mental constitution.

The Ayurvedic component brings in the ancient understanding of the body at the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level, and how to best support healing through conscious touch, oil and herbs.

The Yoga component infuses the understanding of anatomy and breath to improve posture, release physical and emotional tension and improve harmonious flow of prana throughout the body.

The combination of stretches, deep tissue massage and conscious touch creates a sense of deep relaxation, a feeling of centeredness, lightness, groundedness and a feeling of coming home to your body.

Depending on your body's needs, we utilise a range of techniques to improve flexibility, release tension, help counteract stress and boost the healing of injuries through remedial support.

Through the use of Ayurvedic massage techniques, you'll experience a deep tissue massage, releasing tension in the fascia and improved muscular and lymphatic fluidity. The use of Calamus powder helps detoxify the body by drawing toxins out of the body and improves circulation.

AyurYoga Massage is performed on a comfortable mat on the floor to achieve stretches and postures that would otherwise be impossible on a table.  Besides hands and arms, feet are also used to massage your body.

Throughout the session, we will observe how your body responds to treatments and adjust the asanas and deep tissue massage to your body, including fascia, joints and muscles, paying particular attention to 'stuck' areas or injuries.

We respect and listen to the nervous system, working within it's limits so you walk out of the session refreshed, and never 'stretched' too thin. This ensures the newfound spaciousness in your body remains integrated and intact long after the session finishes.
